Reverend Horton Heat asked me to come up with concept art for their 2012 Tour. This is what I submitted... and they accepted it! I'm really stoked that the Rev's first stop in 2012 will be in my hometown, ABQ. Look for it in your local city in next year!
Myself, along with other alumni artists, were featured at New Mexico State University’s 2011 Project: Postcard. The two-day exhibit, held September 9-10, was a fundraiser to support the Visiting Artist and Scholar Program. We had a great weekend reconnecting with old friends and professors!
For our Revenge of the Supercool 2 art show, I busted out a couple of paintings. I decided to dust off my brushes and give it a shot. It was very therapeutic and a lot of fun! It has seriously been forever since I've painted. I am definitely going to make an effort to do it more often... I need the practice.

The t-shirts I designed for our art show are all ready! At Revenge of the Supercool 2, on Friday, I will be selling this design on navy blue t-shirts and chocolate brown girl shirts. At the show, we will also do live screen printing of this tee, along with other great designs by different artists. So head to downtown Albuquerque this Friday, pick up a tee and check out some great artwork!
I designed this label for a contest held by Sierra Blanca Brewery, here in Albuquerque. They will choose a winning label design for their line of Alien Stout. Fingers crossed!!!

ACE was a great success! There were a ton of attendees, and our booth got a lot of visitors. Thanks to all of you who made it out. We're already planning for ACE 2012!
This is my entry for a "Design a Monster Contest" created by Love and a Sandwich. She will reward the winner with a custom plush version of your design! I based this little monster on my pug, Leia.

June 24th-26th we will have a booth at ACE Albuquerque Comic Expo! We will be at table F-11 in Artist Alley. eTickets are available online until Wednesday June 22nd. After that, tickets can be purchased at the event. I have made some new art prints for the expo... and will be selling some older prints and gig posters. The Albuquerque Comic Expo, taking place June 24th-26th at the Albuquerque Convention Center, held a "design a badge contest" last month. They chose my Poison Ivy illustration for their Friday Badge!! Artists Jeremy Montoya won the Saturday design, Stephanie Baker won Sunday design and John Bicknell won the 3-Day Pass design. I'm very honored to have entered with such amazing artists!!

I will be sharing a booth at the Sup Pop Culture Expo on Saturday, May 7th. The event, presented by Surgar Zombies & Marketplace New Mexico, will feature live music, an anime film festival, a punk fashion show, and a great selection of vendors and artists! It is a third party charity event to benefit Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation. Click for event information

On September 3rd, we held an art show at Trillion Space. The show, called "Revenge of the Supercool", was a collection of work from the past year. Eight artists showed to a great crowd in downtown Albuquerque.
The award for my Calexico poster at the 2010 AIGA Showdown was featured in the summer issue of Process Magazine! I was super excited to get published in this one!

I entered three of my posters in the AIGA NM Showdown in Santa Fe, last weekend. The Showdown is a juried competition of design work from throughout the region. Two of my posters got in to the juried exhibition...and my Calexico poster won a Judge's Choice award!! I am so humbled and honored...this was an awesome experience for sure!!
